I try it with a +/- rating:
Positive
=======
+ Very compact
+ Excellent video quality
+ Useful shooting in very dark places
+ Fascinating Slide Panorama mode
Neutral
=======
The modes "in the dark without a tripod" or "Antiblur" produce quite usable photos, the processing takes approximately 2 seconds.
Settings
One can in most modes Focusart, ELV (+/- 2), Focusart (multi, center, spot) and exposure set and a bracket mode there.
A manual focus, the setting of a maximum exposure time and setting the flash intensity does not exist. This is with compact my knowledge rarely after anyway.
Negative
=======
- Auto Focus
The rate is significantly slower and less precise than for example in the FX30.
This is regardless of motive, settings and mode, even when switched off face detection has initially a strong "pump". I have tested this both cameras with identical situations and in many combination of settings (Focusart, P / I / Easy, ...).
- Flash
The generated flash, even with "Slow Sync", usually somewhat outshone pictures and when photographing dark areas (eg trampoline) significant Lensflares.
- Sony Typical annoyances
Memory Stick Pro instead of SD card, special cables for USB openly lying (!) Special USB port
Tips
====
Focus multisegment, Face Detection off, mode P gives to my measurements still the quickest autofocus.
In I mode, the camera sometimes knippst 2 Photos and charged them, that takes something better use P mode.
Conclusion
=====
The new features and the video mode are fascinating.
For standard functions, the camera is significantly weaker than older models.
I'll keep a third camera (DSLR and besides another compact car) for videos and panoramas, as a second camera, the committee in "set pieces" just too high and I will have to look for a new successor.
