I really loved this book. Liath is a very uncommon protagonist for a fantasy book. She is not the mighty heroine with great magic power, but a frightened young girl chased by several fractions and never even knowing why. The same goes for Sanglant, Heir to the Throne of King Henry. He is captured by the Eika and Repeatedly saved from death through forces he does not know. He just wants to live his life, but his father wants him to be his successor and tries to force him into a marriage of convenience. This novel is very extraordinary in my opinion: because there exist lots of different fractions and you can never be sure which side is 'good' or 'evil'. Maybe I can find out in the last volume of the series!
