So it is possible! After contradictory statements show the compatibility of the new Advanced Format sectoring had read in various forums regarding PS3, I was very curious to see if the 750 WD in my PS3 running flawlessly ...

She does it, fast, quiet and reliable. So a strong buy recommendation (not only) for PS3 Tooling Up!

Addendum of 08/04/2012:
But please make sure that no jumper is set. The board must necessarily be installed without jumper, otherwise it is not recognized by the PS3!
(Many WD drives from external enclosures have invested for the sake of power saving a jumper that does not tolerate the PS3 unfortunately!)

The new 1TB disk with 9.5 mm height from Samsung and Western Digital function incidentally even better in the PS3 (but have unfortunately become very expensive at the moment) ...
