I use the Sonos app on both Android 10 "tablet (hanging on the wall) as well as on a Samsung Galaxy 9070th
Here which I personally like very much
App on the tablet
==================
The screen size is fully exploited. It will be displayed at one time the rooms, playlists, and previously played songs.
App on the Galaxy 9070
=======================
By the smaller display is needed for many functions one step more, which does not bother because you here has the compact controller
App held remote control is a good idea?
=======================================
I would personally prefer a remote control. But as mentioned above certainly no longer supports the older CR200 all newly added features. Furthermore, the price of 300 euros is totally beyond plated for a remote control, it remains one thus for the full range of functions only the app.
The phone or tablet as a remote control is the volume rules always mingled with a bit of fumbling, or if you even want to quickly listen to music and phone or tablet is out.
One just has to get used to it, that the remote control 30-60 seconds "boot" must (ie tablet or smartphone).
Screen lock or password protection when mobile interfere with the latest, has to be done quickly if quieter example if the phone is ringing. If you have not just a Sonos speakers near the one can seem right, this is the app not so super. The battery life of smart phone or tablet is naturally not comparable with a classic remote control, weeks or even months holds.
Conclusion
=====
The app itself is very well adapted for smartphones and tablets it is constantly evolving. I use to control as already mentioned a Samsung 9070 without a SIM card (for Mobile control in the apartment) or a Medion 10 "tablet. Since I only use in the house, I have no screen or lock screen shutdowns activated both devices.
When I listen to music runs the smartphone or tablet halt permanently. The Galaxy 9070 holds so then by about 1 day, the Medion Tablet about 6 hours. Sufficient for my weekly music enjoyment.
