2. Since the adapter is too thick for the Drift HD, I cut away the plastic. It occurred to me that the contacts are not internally gilt. Outside everything is nice gilded - that the plug and the rearmost ring. Plug top and middle ring are performed in the plug as copper contact plates while the third copper plate touches the back of the gold-plated ring.
Whether gold or copper is I personally do not care - only if there is "gold contacts", then this should be so. Everything else is fraud.
Copper can be soldered, however great! So I have got now the pictured product itself soldered together - a 3.5mm jack socket one has usually lying around ... it failed so far only the 2.5mm plug - and is actually fine with this product.
If the product expelled properly, without explicit reference to "gold contacts" (quote from the product title) and the actual product would be displayed (I would have uploaded a picture, but the knife was faster than the camera), then you could here easily 2 give -4 star. But in this form? You get something completely different than is advertised here - it's only one star for a plug I could recycle. Return is not worth for the price indeed.
