Still little publicized, this book is a real investigative work. Like a Pierre Péan, Emmanuel Ratier removes the Prime Minister's mask, rummages in his family origins, reveals some personal relationships that help to better understand the true nature of the Prime Minister.
We are far from the image it conveys brilliantly. I never thought the man with greasy hair who wears ties on Parma violet shirt would have grown up in a conservative family of the great Catalan bourgeoisie. Outside the family's past, we discover in this book links with Stéphane Fouk and Alain Bauer. And then we follow his political evolution. Again, I had not imagined that he who embodies the right wing of the PS, man farm, Atlanticist and eternal defender of Israel, was for 20 years engaged in the Palestinian cause.
