I got me the part bought for our kitchen to install it via suction cup on a 720 x 2430 mm wide and 10 mm thick glass pane. Already brings very good sound, but somehow sounds easy (really easy) "glassy / tinny". He may be listening anyway. With the window glass but you can hear outside (in nearly the same volume) which is played indoors.
On our table (without suction) the depths really get going over!
The volume is not at party level, but loose enough for a big "sit-in"!
Can recommend the Soundwaver without hesitation! Fun, brings sound and you have the "wow factor" when visitors come ...;)
