Satter and spatial sound, where there is little to complain about considering the price. Certainly no analytically-challenging sound signature, but the fun in everyday life!
The handset is easy and convenient and robust than it appears at first glance. On my round Dickschädel he sits tend to be somewhat tighter, but not unpleasant. Even my jug ears find enough space in the sides of the headphones, so even during long listening sessions comes not an unpleasant feeling of pressure.
I still have many other headphones of various kinds, including much more expensive (eg AKG K-271). The Panasonic I use by far the most!
The only downside (and therefore a star deduction): After 3 years crumbled on my 2007 imported from Japan, "tree frog" slow the artificial leather coating of earpads.
Although I now have two newer besitzte HTX7, I would not give up the battered Japan veteran and had recently given him new upholstery. Now he is like new again and led me to writing this review.
Remedy for crumbled earpads:
-----------------------------------
Since I could not find original spare parts, I have on ebay replacement pads for the Sony MDR-7506 MDR-V6 or worried (about 7, - Euro per pair including shipping.). Although the V6-upholstered look in detail a little different, the overall appearance is largely retained in shape and color. The mounting principle is different, but works without modifications and without tools.
The original upholstery is clipped with a built-in cushion plastic holder on the 4 "corners" of the earpieces. Pull best corner-by-corner with some pressure (see also: [...]). The removal of the most recent clips is possibly something hakelig. Then raise the Sony-pad by Everts the cushion edge over the dark gray shell edge of HTX7 - which requires a portion of sensitivity.
Since the size does not match 100% can be moved a little cushion on the shells. However, they are secure enough for normal use and not slip off. I am very satisfied with this solution.
