Almost certainly the power strip comes from Chinese production, AS-Schwabe is apparently only a trade label.

If the black bar with blue OUTLETS (not red as in the range image, item number 38605 / EAN 4011160386053 would definitely red to AS-Schwabe) taken out of the sealed clear plastic bag, the cable gives off a pungent-pungent stench.
