Is this band to produce bad albums ever able?

That was the question that the metal world turned to the Iron Maiden with their first four albums impressively demonstrated how ordinary Heavy Metal sounding. And at its fifth album "Powerslave" they made seamlessly continue where they left off with "Piece of Mind". Admittedly, it sounds in some places as if you try to tailor the music to the mainstream. But reduces the quality of the album? No! After the Powerslave thunders a hard riffs and great melodies around the ears that one has not to criticize something remotely. The album is down slightly harder and faster in a direct comparison with the predecessor again, but leaves melodiousness at no time miss. As always act Harris and co. at the highest level, because you need neither here nor large to lose the next two albums words about it. What stands out of course that's the trend started on "Piece of Mind", to write long and varied pieces continues here on. As an example of this is the 14-minute "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" but also the title track.
Iron Maiden had just found their own style between melodic pieces and very fast headbangers. And now they did nothing to make more than the best of it. Powerslave is a product of the former heyday of the band and thus meets the designation "classic" here Totally.

Aces High: At the very beginning one of the fastest and toughest Maiden tracks. Ingenious Doppelgesang the chorus. The first highlight! (5/5)
2 Minutes to Midnight: Hard to believe that was this excellent piece released as a single. A hard Maiden song with calm midsection. Next highlight! (5/5)
Losfer Words (Big 'Orra): A good instrumental piece, which may not have the best Mainriff, still convinced. (4/5)
Flash of the Blade: Another good song with a good riff and minimal weaknesses. (4/5)
The Duellists: Very strong song of the just in the middle part has its great moments in solos. (5/5)
Back in the Village: A Wahnsinnsriff chasing the next. A very horny, faster metal blast! (5/5)
Powerslave: Strong title track with oriental-inspired riffs and a quiet middle section, in which you can not get from the amazed out. (5/5)
Rime of the Ancient Mariner: 14 minutes consistently brilliant epic with many facets. Time reunited the band all metal ingredients in a single song. Fantastic! (5/5)

The tape was recorded on her Zenit and each other. No wonder then that back out an album this came what comes to Metal set new standards. I personally like the disc even a bit more than the already brilliant piece of mind. Sure thing, if you like metal can not get on this board. Beginners can not go wrong with this record.
