I purchased this tripod to make the macro picture of small objects with a Nikon D5100 + 70-300 lens + flash. Result, the ball is not tight enough and the aircraft pitches. Sure it is not cheap but it should specify the device limit and accessories that stand! Result, I bought a second foot, more expensive, and that will make the a priori expected service. I hope ... Otherwise, apart from this ball clamping weakness, the rest is acceptable considering its price. In summary, to flee for users of heavy equipment! 06.02.2014 / I change my comment. the screw that tightens the ball dropped (screw completely destroyed) and the threaded hole in the cover of the ball ditto (understandable given my comment above). Amazon sends me a new foot, at their expense, and asks me to return them to their former charges. Bravo Amazon QoS! Thanks to that I note 3 stars instead of one. That said I confirm that this walk is not suitable for users of heavy equipment (SLR + 70-300 + flash ...)
