As some have already written here, the beliegende Installer is utter rubbish. With me was ostensibly all successfully installed, but everything was exactly as previously. Therefore, you need the manual also not to read. This is in fact just as helpful as the guidance of an IKEA shelf.
So as you do it manually on Windows:
1. Find out the IP of the print server. Since there are several possibilities. I have the included on the CD sampler "Network USB Server". This can be found right in the \ Network USB Server folder. After installation (Attention: consists in the Startup) you can see the print server followed by the IP address. In my case, 192.168.178.47.
2. Now enter in your browser, this IP address. Now the configuration page should build.
3. Click on the menu Network and then at "DHCP Setting" to disable and then click submit. The print server is now launching new! The page loads so a little longer.
4. When done, add in the system administration of Windows a new printer (All Control Panel Items \ printer). The printer is not found, so click "The printer that I want is not listed".
5. Now select "printer using a TCP / IP address or hostname Add" from
6. Select in the device type "TCP / IP Device", and give in "Hostname or IP Address" field the IP address of the print server. The port name should this be filled in automatically. Click on Next and wait until you can give anything back. This may take some time.
7. The device was not found naturally. Now select Custom and click on Settings
8. Change the protocol from Raw to LPR and enter the bottom of the category LPR settings at queue name "lp0" (the last one is no O, but a NULL) and activate the LPR Byte Counting
9. Finally, you still have to select the correct printer driver and confirm.
Finished!
Anyone who thinks that he has already tried: try it again!
I have these instructions also min. 5x gone through, but with me the queues name was slightly different. This worked nothing. I was already close to it to return the print server and here to submit a 1 star rating. If I had followed these instructions but equal, would have to set up less than 5 min. Lasted.
A star deduction there but for the extremely poor guide that is virtually unusable. The important thing is really that each little step is followed exactly !!
I'm happy with my printer and I wish you good luck with that!
