Packaging: Yes what can you say? Safe and well packaged. What I noticed particularly negative on the packaging: You have the television pull up out of the box and the panel (ie the screen) touching the NO (otherwise bruising may occur, which then in turn have the famous Clouding result) this is to be allowed almost impossible really touch at about 25KG and without. Other TV (other Philips devices) have such plastic fasteners on the carton when they are released, you can remove the upper part of the packaging and the TV can then be much better moves, etc. (Maybe it's in the 60 incher because of the size and the weight simply not possible).
I have with my wife (and some cold sweat beads on his forehead) managed to unpack it on the television undamaged. The alternative would be to cut the packaging, but wants to change the TV or something, then of course you have no packaging and is pinched in the A ****.
The delivery includes:
- The TV
- A stand made of glass
- A special wall mount (because of Ambilight's)
- 4 3D Glasses
- Remote control with batteries.
- Skype camera
- Screws and dowels
- Scart adapter
The 4-sided Ambilight is achieved by, through centrally mounted LED strip. Hence the special wall mount, most other holders would obscure the LED strip. The Ambilight itself is very nice to look at, but by the wall mount the TV is probably too close to the wall (10cm decency), so that the very large effect is absent (but may be due to our purple wall, wherein the wall color from the menu can adjust). It is more the ceiling and the walls illuminated by the Ambilight left and right, but it can be seen, creating a nicer ambience.
Through the wall mounting the TV in the upper third is held in the lower area then the supplied spacers must be mounted. This has the disadvantage that the TV, although certainly hanging in the bracket, but can be relatively easily adjusted in the horizontal as it depends, in principle, only one point on the holder and without the spacers could swing back and forth (at least theoretically). If one (s) not gruff answers it while cleaning but nothing happens.
The first thing I did after the building was all the updates to install. I think there were four or five. By Updates teething as flickering Ambilight, independent on and off and the image quality can be improved.
I do not use the internal satellite receiver but an external Linux HD receiver the VU + Solo2. Thus, I can not report anything about switching or HDD recordings. Some people write often of a mediocre to poor image. First is NO TV is perfect at the factory and secondly even components such source devices and the cables used are added. There's no place to sit an expensive television and then to provide him with DIY and hardware store receiver cables.
After the first settings me the picture has not convinced I had the normal TV (SAT-HD) slight formation of small blocks at faster movements (Transformers came on Pro Sieben). However, this was due to an incorrect setting on the receiver (1080p resolution then changed to 1080i). With this change, the image is absolutely perfect, sharp, no ghosting, no banding, no blocks, absolutely top (if you consider that the private HD channels currently broadcasting a true Full HD quality is very very good).
The picture with BluRay / 3D is awesome, I can hardly imagine that the 4K TVs have an even better image. I do not know what should be there even better
Black is black on this TV, not gray or similar (if the brightness is excessively high einsellt from the black of course, a gray).
The sound is absolutely perfect for normal TV. The built-in subwoofer, the basses come across well. Who's really like loud and powerful, who needs a home theater system (in my case an Onkyo TX-NR616), then turns television of course more fun. A sound sensation you can not expect a TV, this is not possible simply through the narrow construction.
The remote control (when Smart-TV) as a Wii controller, you can see an arrow on the screen and it moves as you move the remote. Smart TV I've been neglected, since I use the receiver for smart TV's also here. Speed of Smart TV could be a little faster, but is ok. But my personal expectations to a TV is a very good, clear and impressive picture. If I want to surf, I take my phone or throw to the Lappi ;-)
My conclusion:
I would recommend the TV without restriction. Very very good picture at normal TV, BluRay just saugeil (sorry but otherwise I can not describe).
