It has no sense to buy these compatible cartridges

Epson original cartridges cost almost as much as my new printer XP510. So I wanted to save and bought this XL replacement cartridges. Have as described by the dealer, replaced the complete set. Then it started, after several attempts, these cartridges were detected. Change operation under Windows 8.1 you have to get yourself looking. Black large cartridge, did not want to print. Various cleaning tests were not successful, but the remaining ink cartridges by these cleaning tests already quarters empty. I gave up finally after further unsuccessful attempts. New Epson XP 510 is now available in the basement. GSD I have my 'old' CANON yet which is very noisy, but now performs again his duties properly and with cheap replacement cartridges. Conclusion: It should be really informed in advance about supply of spare parts and prices of printer. For me there is at least no Epson printer more as long as Epson does not think the prices for replacement cartridges.
