This adapter is "OTG" (On-The-Go).

It allows developed data exchange point between two devices without having to go through a host (usually a PC)
Example of use: the direct connection of a camera with a printer, the connection of a mobile with an MP3 player '

I tested it with Carrefour CT1002 Tablet:
I read directly stokées video or photos on a USB stick and my camera (Memory Stick unreadable on my tablet!)
without copying via a PC in the local file in the tablet.

Attention, the mini USB port on the tablet is CT1002 "OTG" which is not the case with all the tablets!
Attention also not to be confused with the mini USB micro USB !!!
