My favorites are definitely "Everything's Gone" and "Through Oblivion".
"Everything's Gone" has personally just blew me away. Rarely have I heard such a powerful, aggressive but also emotional piece. "Through Oblivion" is a very adult, mature song, absolutely great! Maybe even the best song on the album (although it clearly 'softer' than the rest).
Paralyzed runs through the gloomy sound of the album and is supported by easy electronic beat in the verses. Here is the refrain, as in a few other songs, slightly anthemic and catchy.
Piece No.5 With Eyes Wide Open acts initially a bit slow, but in the chorus it is developing into a very harmonious and melodious song, which one but then gets stuck in the ear.
Particular emphasis should be probably When the World Explodes with opera singer Emilia Feldt. The mixture of Scream and classical, somber and elfin voice has a very prominent and special effects. After repeated listening it completely convinced!
The intro song Plainview and especially the outro song Filtered Truth (Top!) Open up and finish the album for me fits and highly powerful.
As weaknesses I saw Siren Charms and Dead Eyes. The two pieces are a little too tough and not really get into running.
Overall I give the album 5 stars because for me it is a versatile, yet in sound faithfully enduring album. Music that makes you think and discuss. (As long In Flames fan you have to maybe try it with a little distance to consider ...)
And as Anders Friden says: It is impossible to make any listener happy.
