Jablonsky and Transformers together for the fourth time!

An anniversary review: My first ever review on Amazon.com here was 2007, the first Transformers score by Steve Jablonsky, still one of my favorite ever scores. And now after two good sequels him (! Musically mind you) and eight years on Amazon.com, I am writing my review 1000. (hurray!) For the fourth Transformers score: Age Of Extinction.
Jablonsky has made a name with the first score and delivered next Transformers with Your Highness, Enders Game and Gangster Squad good work from. The fact that this is a media ventures-student of Mr. Zimmer, should hopefully be known to most, that is, that there is to hear the typical remote control Sound. Who can not do anything, here is likely to have little fun with it, everyone else certainly already. The film I have deliberately not seen since me already, Parts 2 and have 3 very disappointed and Age Of Extinction is even worse to be No thanks, I say as only I concentrated me prefer on to what is probably the only good thing movie: The Score!

Jablonsky composed for part 4 course new issues, most notably the decision is quite clear theme (Track 1), what Transformers typical beautiful wide and epic sounds, but also with a touch of melancholy. In general, the sound is very identical to the third score of his Dark Of The Moon. Then we have the dark motive for Galvatron (as many evil Tron actually exist in Transformers?), Which also works well, although it does not have the presence of the great Decepticons-theme of the first score. Apropos, in The Presence Of Megatron heard this old Decepticon theme at the beginning of the play, unfortunately, far too subtle and too short (who knows if it was ever intended by Jablonsky).
An old themes unfortunately returns and, unfortunately, not so opulent just Arrival To Earth in The Legend Exists as you want it to. And that's my biggest gripe: Even if there were old subjects in the third score quite little, so the new material was very good in return. Here, the new material is also good, but overall, the score is no longer such a freshness and energy, as its predecessors. And since it is particularly unfortunate if we actually hardly hear old themes. I mean, how many subjects composed in the first Jablonsky Score? At least five! Have alone had the great Autobot theme back or the prime motive of Part 2, but NE

Nevertheless, there are some great tracks here: As I said, the decision issue is great and especially the vocal parts of Imagine Dragons in Best Thing Ever Happened and particularly in Honor To The End are really nice to hear! Nevertheless, the score sometimes sags in the middle and has no own sound, I think there are still a so-called EP-version, however, contains only these four tracks would make Whether these pieces to score better now, I do not know, probably I will still supply later, but so for themselves is Jablonsky Soundtrack fourth series only good.

Conclusion: A good action score in media ventures style of Steve Jablosnky, the fans of the movie and its music will surely love. I also enjoyed it, unfortunately it lacks something strong, old themes and freshness. For now Transformers 5 I expect something new unless Jablonsky is commissioned again for this part but in the time I enjoy again the first of scores of him!
