Performing This Week: Live at Ronnie Scott'S (CD)

Customer Review

No need to introduce this legendary English guitarist born in 1944, which still marks the spirits since his first in 1965 with the Yardbirds. In this live album, there is the crazy style of the musician who grinds his Fender to get us out of phrasing very contôlés skids. It's jazz-rock, the recovery of John McLaughlin "Eternity's breath" and that of his friend Jon Hammer "you never know", two gender specialists, are telling. Technically perfect, Jeff Beck takes us out extraordinary solos, packed with synthesized sound effects he is particularly fond. And among all these instrumental tracks, note ryhtme reggae of "behind the veil" and the resumption of the Beatles, somewhat transformed, "a day in the life" where the guitar is creaky and full. A good album, which in 16 titles and more than 70mn music, confirms the genius of this unique musician.
