Hip Hop heavyweight Fat Joe is back with his now 8 solo album called "The Elephant in the room". At the controls along with Joey Crack Real People Street Runner, Cool & Dre, DJ Khaled, Danja, Swizz Beatz, Hitman, Scott Storch, The Alchemist and DJ Premier were - what a line-up !!! The cameos can be seen as a more just and who with Lil Wayne, Plies, Dre, Swizz Beatz, J. Holiday or KRS One big names. "The Elephant in the room" includes "only" 12 tracks with a total playing time of scarce 43 Minutes, but what Fat Joe has delivered us here is surprisingly good and again an increase to its predecessor work. It starts with "The Fugitive" a sort of intro song at the Fat Joe ever leaking blood. After that, followed by Cool & Dre produced "You is not sayin nothin 'what for so a bit clubby lends even if I have to say that I've heard already better Beatz by Cool & Dre, but this song also knows quite convincing. It continues with "The Crack House", a tough street track was released as the first song from the album - a collabo with New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne and harmonize the two splendidly together you know well since the latest Fat Joe's great song "Make It Rain "from the previous album. In "Get it for life" you immediately recognize the handwriting of DJ Khaled and it comes back as a bit of Miami flavor with a great melody, like on "You is not sayin nothin '. The first official single from the album is "I will not tell" and features RnB Newcomer J. Holiday, a nice chilled laid back song because you should be acted upon simply, to a gorgeous instrumental and J. Holiday whose voice in the chorus us goosebumps gives. "KAR (Kill All Rats)" know again a typical NYC street sound with a powerful beat, in which Joey Crack drüberbrettert a Rhyme after another. With "300" now comes the second official single, a really massive Beat hammering on the handset, plus orchestra and as a kind of opera singing in the background really -an ingenious mixture and Fat Joe kills here with his Ryhmes lot. The rest produced by the genius end called "The White" which is a kind of old school beat includes veteran DJ Premier, which can set back a lot of many years to be a more impressive only. Total Fat Joe is an outstanding album almost succeeded in which not only the Beatz but also Joe's rape very heraustechen, but that certain something is missing. Fresh NYC rap for any black music lover.
