For Blue Moon Swamp John Fogerty received his only previous Grammy as best rock album of 1997. The album was nominated for another Grammy for Best Production of the Year. I say today, although a few years have passed and yet another very good albums by John Fogerty followed that BMS hundred percent is his best solo album for me. Had there Creedence in 1997, where, then this would have been a very dignified Creedence album. There are some musical gems on BMS. My personal favorites on the album are Southern Streamline, 110 In The Shade, Blueboy, Walking In A Hurricane and Swamp River Days. The voice of John Fogerty is great and has a very high recognition factor with respect to the Creedence times. He has his skills on the guitar more perfected (out tip: Just Pickin '), great licks and beautiful solos. The production is clear and vibrant. Timeless, I hear the disk still regularly.
