This book does not deserve the headline of "one of the 10 best thrillers of the year" but he does not deserve not to have been lowered dramatically by readers. It's true that this is the risk premium when a book enticing the public, if it is not up to the expectations of the players, we can only be disappointed and criticize, it makes sense. The advantage for me is that I was not expecting too much given the previous comments which announced almost a nullity and the prize awarded (often disappointing) I even courage to play army, expecting almost "suffering" and ... oh surprise! I realized that the story was standing and that I liked. In addition, the investigator Alex Morrow is fine and intelligent, sensitive and gives a human touch to the police as I love, what is not always in a lambda thriller. In short for me, it's a good thriller Editions of the Mask, obviously not a great thriller, nor one of the best thrillers, but it deserves to be read and appreciated at its true value ... if we do the was not much vaunted and outclassed.
