I am an avid griller, and thus the demand was eventually awakened by a Pulled Pork. I already have a Smoker (a locomotive), but simply is no good, is very poorly finished and needs to be watched constantly. For New Year's definitely a Pulled Pork should be made, so research in the relevant forums and landed at El Fuego, and I'm very excited.
Delivery will be made by a repackaging of Amazon and thus the EL is also well protected. In my was delivered without any damage, even the lettering was just glued and no dents in the metal.
The build quality is fine, but you should, of course, do not expect a perfectly crafted smoker that should an already alone be clear on the price, but it's really nothing bad. Great price - performance ratio.
The construction works smoothly, little tip on the edge, only dispel the interior, then lift the grill from the packaging! The manual is not really necessary, make a quick look at the parts. As this is a typical product of China (and I mean that not negative), it may well be time that does not exist one or the other parent or washer. But this is not a problem. Even a small tip, there are M5 and M6 screws are used. Knowing this one just makes sure that a pair of matching screws, nuts and washers are available and already the building is definitely work.
Then we went to the first heat up and the first time breaks enthusiasm. Everything works fine and the Smoker really runs like clockwork. Once adjusted and absolutely no problems. Anyone who has previously done something clever, who knew it already, the others read it now, the door is complete thermometer measures. But even that is only to be expected. But that is also not a problem because the smocking using a radio eh thermometer which monitors the cooking chamber and the meat, so everything works perfectly.
Then New Year's Eve approached, because I had to work the meat was only about 13 clock in the afternoon in the smoker. There were about 3.3 kilos of pork that have been about 30 hours in advance gerubbt with Magic Dust and had spent the time waiting in the fridge. For smoking I Axtschlag Räucherklötze in beech and cherry used (or) and for about 2 hours that is enough. The remaining 10 hours had absolutely no problem, and at sub-zero temperatures, the temperature was kept perfectly and he really runs like clockwork.
Gas consumption is incidentally also minimal, since yes Low & Slow is the motto and the gas regulator is adjusted accordingly low.
Normally the Pulled Pork 15 would - used for 16 hours but the slightly higher oven temperature by me was to get over, it was still very tender and incredibly tasty. My next Pulled Pork must spend the time needed in the Smoker and will then probably even falling apart, I'm already looking forward to it.
