JVC Boombox --- an era comes to an end

I had to get lucky in the summer of 2008 at a source of last-NB10 RV for 187 and am with this device more than satisfied. It is used for connected indoor and outdoor Partys.Netbook about Aux and from the party goes with brilliant sound.

For our sports club dance group I wanted to buy the same equipment, but JVC has so decided (for whatever reason ???) to stop production. The price trend for used equipment quickly went up to 500. Here any normal market researchers ought to have noted, what has remained of a gap here. Attempts by JVC failed to offer a successor to the RD Ha3b.

In early 2009 then the good news, the JVC reacts and reflects on what it for years as the only on the market do best, namely promised the rebirth of Boombox.Erste Photos positive, visually they stayed with well-tried and missed the device rather than the tape deck still a iPood - connection.

Finally the device was available and I ordered immediately here at Amazon. Less than 24 hours later, the piece was there already high wear while stairs (5 floor) I noticed the difference in weight to my beloved RV-NB10. The new one is noticeably lighter and smaller.

Visually fell immediately the missing Super Woofer Bass tubes. Even when carrying strap was saved. Solid metal webs and carbines were exchanged for very cheap and unreliable acting Plasteösen.
When connecting power cord came the biggest shock for me.

It is no AUX IN AND MIC / GUITAR INPUT longer available.

I have now both units stand next to me and have direct Klangvergleich.Der predecessor at every bass level and volume always a bright, saturated, soft but powerful Klang.Beim RV-NB50 is missing from volume> 20 easy printing. For rooms it's more than okay, but for the sound at parties, fairs and presentations is the new fast to its limits. All this was no problem with the predecessor.

Conclusion:

Maybe I expect too much or celebrating my parties simply to loud music.

The new JVC boombox generation simply does not play in the league of old equipment, but is compared to other manufacturers still 1st choice.
Who does not know the predecessors (but only), will be thrilled by this unit, as there currently is not much like it. All others, like me, are a just disappointed.

Incidentally, the prices for used waste even after availability of the new devices are not much down gegangen.Das probably says it all.
