With their first three albums "Three Dollar Bill Y'all", "significant other" and "Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water" schuffen Limp Bizkit a small musical era in wide nu-metal field and defined the term "crossover" new. What followed was like a process of sinking. First, the remix album "New Old Songs" was released, which had the function to shorten the waiting time for a new album. But the new album did not materialize for the time being, Wes Borland left the band and a difficult and lengthy search for a new guitarist began. As one has already thought it is no longer possible, the band along with new guitarist was back with a new disc. "Results may vary" was a good piece, and was a major turning point in the Limp Bizkit history. This incision split the fan base. Some were positively surprised by the new, serious side, bitterly disappointed the other. There was something that no one thought possible. Wes Borland returned, his derweiliger representative Mike Smith short kicked out of the band and a new album, which in the name of "The Unquestionable Truth: Part One" hears published. This disc Limp Bizkit wanted to take a step back into the past and present itself again of their harder side. This "experiment" failed significantly. "The Unquestionable Truth" returns no usual Limp Bizkit-quality, but was just another disappointment, both quantitative (duration approx 29min) and qualitatively. Interesting to mention would certainly be that "The Unquestionable Truth" is designed as a trilogy. But now space out of the blue a best-of disc in in this trilogy. A little incomprehensible the whole. Overall, you have to say is that the tracklist of "Greatest Hitz" is well chosen. All well-known hits are + 3 new songs that do not comply with the scheme but the final publication "The Unquestionable Truth" entirely. Even otherwise, there are no songs of "The Unquestionable Truth" here, for good reason in my opinion! At the same time a DVD with the entire Videography is released. However, I wonder here why it will not give the DVD together in a set with the CD and both are sold separately. Here therefore the allegation of money-is large, quite rightly! Due to the successful compilation and the summary of the only truly good and successful Limp Bizkit-time 1997-2000 the Greatest Hitz plate is quite recommendable.
