They range from unfulfillable longing ("Cardinal Song"), the imprisonment in marriage ("Slipping Husband"), on older women with young men ("Trophy Wife") to the ironic arrogance towards a bygone adored ("Lucky You "- probably the strongest track on the album). all combined with an inimitable sarcasm and excellent puns.
whether the album now is a concept album, is another question. the clouds the listening pleasure, nor it raises it. and also the fact that "sad songs ..." much weaker than the self-titled debut of the band (2001 appeared), does not change the melodious ideas and facets of this disc. serious recommendation!
