- Vamo V3 battery carrier: is a real great battery support, which is basically good and has the advantage that it can optionally be operated with short battery, making something more manageable system. This system can be adjusted, so the voltage or alternatively the wattage can be adjusted at will and electronic protection functions are integrated, such as battery and short circuit protection
- Vamo V5 battery carrier: One of the successor to the V3, I bought because I had wrecked the V3
- Vision Spinner Battery: This is a compact battery, which does not have removable cell. The battery is more compact than a Vamo, can be regulated and which are on the go. But I use rarely.
- Kanger PROTANK: A Liquid tank with interchangeable evaporators. A chic well-made part that neatly makes steam.
- Kanger Aero Tank: The upgraded version of Protanks with adjustable air supply. My recommendation to buy, because super processed and by the Air Control again significantly outperformed the PROTANK.
- Kanger PROTANK Mini: As the name suggests, the mini version of Kanger. Fits well with the vision of the format batteries and a clear recommendation in this combination.
Now after this somewhat lengthy introduction to my new acquisition. The K-Simar of Kanger. The battery carrier has already appealed to me because it is of Kanger. Since I use the tanks and exclusively the tanks of Kanger, I am convinced of the quality of products. I was a bit skeptical by Gravity sensor due to the innovative control. Nevertheless, ordered and waited tensely. When the K-Simar came, I was once surprised by the giveaways that came with the package. A battery for the K-Simar and a bottle with 20 ml Liquid gabs it. For this first time thumbs up. Ok, so unpacked the battery carrier, the English manual as befits ignored and inserted a battery. Then consecutively pressed the fire button fast, because the thing is done, as can be usually all e-cigarettes start batteries. In the case of K-Simar with 5 clicks in a row (has a protective function, convenient if you are carrying the unit in your pocket and also ensures appropriate time a child gets the steamer in the fingers, but this really should not happen). Prompt reporting the large easy to read OLED display to start the vapors. Nice small Kanger logo shimmers and a rapidly disappear. In the next screen, set the watt value, including the voltage of a battery charge indicator, the resistance of the evaporator and the residual voltage in the battery is displayed large. Very very nice. If not rumgedrückt on K-Simar now the display goes out and the battery carrier is virtually in standby and fire ready. Pressing in this status the fire button three times will be locked and only push back another three times released the battery carrier. Well, those who need it. If you click the button in the operating mode is now five times we get to the interesting part, namely the settings. The first menu item is the adjustment of the wattage. This starts at 7 watts and comes to 20 watts. Here also the Gravity sensor is used. Tilt the battery carrier to the left and the setting is lower, to the right there's more power. Nice gadget, but actually increase a bit cumbersome to the performance. But nice. But then it gets thin quickly in the setting area. The next menu item is Exit, so we are there again in operating mode and in the second and the last menu item you can still completely off the vapors. That's it. That's what I call clearly ;-)
Before I talk about the actual characteristics of the steam generation, only a few words to the construction, design and processing. So ahead, in terms of weight of the K-Simar is a real chunk. Are the Vamo housing assembled mainly of steel or of aluminum sleeves, the K-Simar shows off with twisted stainless steel tubes which have a substantial wall thickness. The whole thing makes a very sophisticated look, but is also difficult as Bolle, particularly the screw-battery area. If we're at it, the battery sleeve is multiply slotted and milled clean. On the one hand, the battery takes outgas a way that it has in the case more as sufficient and, secondly, I think this has given the designers the ability to optimize the unit weight technically. The nice side effect: through the slots, you can see the battery and so have an additional design element that you can customize. The battery cover, which one usually unscrews to switch to the battery is the same heavy and robust design. In the battery cover for a cheap spring for the negative was not as often installed, but a wider sprung pin. The thread of the sleeves are smooth and easy to screw, but still when tightening so tightly that nothing can solve on its own. The upper part with the electronics is a little easier, but also very high quality. The display is nicely integrated and fitted. So the processing of K-Simar is compared to the Vamos head and shoulders, though the battery carrier is a lot harder. For Kanger scores but with a smaller size than the Vamos (in operation with 18650 batteries), which is more practical for your pocket fan. The display itself should also be mentioned again. Much better than in Vamos. Now, to generate steam.
As a warning ahead still following. The K-Simar is suitable for Subohm-steaming. That it is able evaporators are used, which are up 0.5 Ohm accepted by the battery carrier downwards. The Vamos switch off at 1.3 1 ohms to prevent short circuits in the battery. This protection is not effective in K-Simar. With an unsuitable battery and a low-Ohm evaporator is fast, a short circuit happens, what can be quite unpleasant. So, since not only the vapor breaks that can be really dangerous. Who is not familiar with it, should be of such combinations fingers. With a normal 2 Ohm evaporator of K-Simar works but like a normal battery carrier.
I have one of my tank Aero screwed with a loud measurement of battery carrier, 2.4 Ohm evaporator and gave time in the lowest adjustable range of 7 Watt fire. Boom, the exits. Even in the smallest setting that thing evaporated as Bolle. After a bit of playing around I have left it in the setting of 7.2 watts. So I would have just under 13 watts Reserve upward and what is stupid, almost nothing down. I'm curious if I ever mean 1.5 Ohm can use evaporator so without it evaporated violently uncomfortable for me. The fire button should be mentioned. That's largely dimensioned and has a good tactile feedback. Re better than the Vamo. But one drawback I would also like to point out. The K-Simar has a 510 connection, so the Aero tanks fit as prima plan with its external thread. But the mini-tanks have an internal thread and can be without an adapter, which is not there, do not mount. Is the Vamo easily.
Conclusion: The K-Simar I give 4 out of 5 stars. The design, processing and production of steam at a price of about 50 EUR convince me. The drawbacks mentioned cost the K-Simar the fifth star. Those who wish to establish a robust, well-designed, equipped with nice gadgets battery carrier's right here. Who what less conspicuous and easier is not looking likely.
