Through the use of filters, the missing overtones deep bass and typical of Karajan dynamics. The music sounds like softened. At first I thought my hi-fi system was broken, but on other systems it sounds well to. Loudness makes it even better. Original recordings as "German gramophone Polydor-, Die Zauberflöte 1981 DDD" have the complete range against those of CD 1 song 9-11. The partly mono recordings I can possibly use nor understand filter but with newer pieces of the full sound would have been better.
For people who want to hear the only times just classical music, this collection is very well suited. The compilation of pieces is consistent. It is offered a good cross-section of classical music.
Classical lovers should prefer the individual CD's "Karajan Berliner Philharmoniker" buy in 1981 in DDD direct recording
