KATA CRC 13 PL in use with CANON XA10

KATA recommends raincover CRC 13 explicitly for the XA10. This applies broadly to, in detail, but there are a few "blurring".

Firstly, the XA10 offers often an operator action on the touch screen. The rain cover is not cut too far, so that even I can not work with both hands and unfolded touchscreen under the coat (women with small hands). I think for a man with large hands it is very there, very close.

The viewfinder of the XA10 is - unlike their bigger brothers and sisters - housed at the Body and not by the handle. In connection with the largest battery is barely room to reef the substance to the viewfinder and then accommodate even the drawstring including terminal somewhere there. The result is very fiddly and actually practical small cover over the viewfinder makes hardly any sense.

An external microphone can be used only when it is plugged into the accessory shoe (which the shoe is of course "fachfremd" occupied and other accessories no longer available). If the external mic fixed to the actual XA10 mic holder, then the whole cloak warps such that it no longer looks through the clear film window directly to's display, but somewhere else. Furthermore, one side of the cover shall be pulled up, that the camcorder is at the side no longer sufficiently protected against rain.

But otherwise Positive: A light and well-made rain cover, which can be set up relatively quickly with a little practice and that's actually rainproof. Also in monsunartigem downpour.

For processing there five points from me. The trigger there because the cover is not perfectly match the XA10 - and that, although it is recommended by KATA for this action.
