I admit that I bought the double LP next to the name Keith Emerson "a steal" for me the price of 9.99.
Disappointed, I was not when the music is not even the big bang. Keith Emerson moves in familiar areas and with absolute serenity and professionalism.
While you can search for parallels to EL & P (and also found), but it should not necessarily. Here everything happens somewhat dignified and mature aged.
The team around him is simply not comparable to Carl Palmer and Gregg Lake. Especially Carl Palmer played (and still plays) as a drummer in a Extraliga. As Gregg Bissonette is not nearly with.
Marc Bonilla pushes the songs with his guitar playing and the tight voice but on a distinct stamp. The man past damn good about this music.
Otherwise solos switch on, it seems like thousands of different keyboards by Keith with hard pieces where the guitar lets it rip times and also Keith his synthesizer lets off the leash and she "runs" is a sometimes dizzy. These moments, however, are few and far between, which is not bad either.
Overall a rather quiet work, which you should view as a Gesamtkunstwerk and hear. The songs are all over each other to form a whole, self-contained work.
The LPs were unfortunately again without any protection in a paper inner sleeve (when learn that at last, that the just k ****), but running absolutely flat and without wobbling.
Unfortunately, there are a few unpleasant crackling calculated at beautiful piano solo of "Prelude To A Hope". Otherwise, you can not complain about the quality vinyl.
Normally, only 3.5 points because it is actually nothing new to be discovered, but half a point specially because of superior price = 4 points in the final !!
