Kleber problems with my steel frames

Would be a great product if the adhesive would hold the seal in place, which it does at my doors with steel frames.
The frames of course been, rubbing alcohol, cleaned.
Worse for me, as I now bring the adhesive residue from the frame without scratching my canceled last year frames ??
