Knife Party is not only Dubstep

I've waited so long for this album and I must say that I am not disappointed at all. Although "Resistance" has left after the leak a few months ago me at first hearing quite cold, I remember only when listening to the entire plant to which diversity and which statement is behind this album. Knife Party happens to be not only dubstep and quite capable to venture to other genres and thereby also to have success. Now, for detailed analysis.

01 - Reconnect - I would personally not consider since they are "only" is an intro that should take in the entire album. It is nevertheless noted that the sound design is promising and holds through the whole of the following titles, always on a first-class level.

02 - Resistance - This track knüft on some older tracks from Knife Party, it nevertheless manages to be unique. Very good work here at the Percs and various synths that come not only in the main part but also in the breakdowns, build ups and Breaks advantage. Even if the stubborn "copying" of Main Parts to Create a Second is effectively lazy, it's still nice to hear.

03 - Boss Mode - The next contribution to the genre "Trap" (which, strictly speaking, to "sleaze" to "Moombahton" part) and even here it does not disappoint. On bass they have not saved, but have also ensured that this stands out not overly dominant which flow perfectly into the overall sound design by adding various elements. Even on the Knife Party Humor ("slightly different") they have thought.

04 - Trend EDM Machine - clearly a tribute to "EDM Death Machine", but this time with the focus of "LRAD". Correct: it comes to criticism of various gehypeten EDM genres (eg, Big Room House). 05-404 - There is not much to say. Knife Party has managed to envelop a strong melody with wonderful breaks and very good build ups without, as for generic Big Room is typical, is too loud. Mastering dominate the two guys (almost) without blemishes.

06 - Begin Again - Pendulum Knife Party in style even with vocals by Rob Swire. Although the winds (?) In the main part of my taste taking a little too much width this is a very good contribution to the progressive genre in the EDM scene. Among other things, I have to mention again, the atmosphere and the sound design as easily as well as definitely and unerringly and extends over the entire length of the track. (And yes, I'm really looking forward to the comeback of Pendulum.)

07 - Give It Up - Another middle finger, this time for the "fans" of Knife Party which repeatedly ask for new tracks like "Bonfire". "Give It Up", so "give up,". Give up, asking for Dubstep in Bonfire style, because that annoys. Knife Party have to try as an artist the right in other genres. The similarity of this track with "Bonfire" is by no means to deny, but by mastering her, once again, no exaggeration. 08 - DIMH - stands for "Devil (s) In My Heart" is based again on the genre House and was again an excellent Groove especially with the simplistic bass which fits well in spite of everything in the melody which is incidentally just kept simple Overall a very nice relaxing track of virtually invites to spontaneous dancing. You find me a person who can not wriggle to the rhythm of the limbs.

09 - Micro Penis - What the hell is that? Tribal House? I do not know, but I like it thoroughly. It is something new that makes Knife Party to the innovators that they had been since the founding of Communist Party and Pendulum times. The title of this track is one again for Humor from Knife Party which is reflected especially in the half minute, something strange intro and the 64-bit break. Through and through innovative. I love it, is one of my favorite tracks of the year since the first moment.

10 - Superstar - "What the fuck is this shit disco What happened to the dubstep?" The statement is again clear. It is the first time that I hear Disco of Knife Party ... and I love it. The Vocalist (whose name I still could not bring in experience) fits well and represents the style of the genre properly. Excellent choice on the part of KP, but also the two producers contribute to that disco feeling comes on direct way to the listener. Since even the foot must mitwippen, otherwise something goes wrong.

11 - Red Dawn - I love the game with "exotic" vocals as with "Blizzard" (Thomas Newson feat Magnificence.) And "Fiji" (Kryder). In this track, however, is respected by and by the fact that this "exotic" feel is interrupted by anything. The main part is divine and all frequencies are operated. Percussion has enough space to exist in addition to the main melody and you can hear every single instrument proving once again that Knife Party from ('Scuse me) sound design her know what's going on. High praise in this track to work with the build ups. Flowing transitions - clean work.

12 - Kaleidoscope - A fitting conclusion for an album that is as diverse as well as the last track. Here the focus is on the (last) sound design which comes into its own at the onset of vocal samples mainly. Interesting bassline, relaxing melody, which run along Percs discreet and have a really light feeling in itself.

"This is our last party on earth". Hopefully not, because after listening to this album I am curious what Knife Party will release in future creations. Do they have even more overwhelmed and only further convinced that Knife Party is not just dubstep and can achieve great things in other genres.
