Krautrock / 5 original albums ... an interesting selection ...

My resume: Once again, the series provides "Original Album Series" under the title "Krautrock" (for whatever this controversial phrase should be) on 5 CDs a lot of music at an unbeatable price. The CDs are available as usual in simple cardboard sleeves with the original album cover. No booklets. All albums are 'Digitally Remastered'.

CD 1: Parzival - Legend [Year: 1971] [3 Bonus Tracks]
To Album: "Parsifal" was a progressive rock band from Bremen, which was attributed to the avant-garde classic rock. The 'Basler Zeitung' wrote: "classical, jazz and rock merge into a convincing sound" and the 'Melody Maker' stated even, "one of the most interesting groups in Europe". From today's perspective certainly somewhat exaggerated. But good songs the album offers all - my face-tips: "8 Years Later" or "Wall Bungalow". The almost 16-minute "Inside Groove" but falls against the more compact songs from distinctly. My Rating: [3.8 ****]

CD 2: Message - Message [Year: 1975] [No bonus tracks]
For Album: The German / British band "Message" stand for keyboard-oriented melodic progressive rock / heavy rock with slight psychedelic bonds. A certain proximity to the band "Nectar" was hard to miss. Out tip: "Before The Dawn". My rating: [4 ****]

CD 3: La Dusseldorf - Viva [Year: 1978] [No bonus tracks]
To Album: Emerging from the group "New!" was "La Dusseldorf" for German electronic music ... largely instrumental pieces, complemented by sound collages and sparse vocals. Their music had an influence on artists such as David Bowie and Brian Eno. David Bowie noticed to 'La Dusseldorf' to: "the soundtrack of the eighties". My Anspieltipps: course "Rheinita" and the 20-minute "Cha Cha 2000". My Rating: [4.6 *****]

To Album: "poison" was a German rock band from Augsburg. Considered as a guitar-oriented, progressive heavy rock - without keyboards or blowers. My Scan-Tip: "Game Of Skill". My Rating: [4.1 ****]

Note: Even if the individual CDs will not get the 5 star rating: The selection is quite successful and sometimes only hard-to-get plates can be discovered inexpensive ... the price / performance ratio is unbeatable. Hence from me for the Set 5 stars = I like very much. Surely (hopefully) there will be eventually a continuation of the "Krautrock" series - there is still much to discover.
