So you get an album with many items that have been so unexpected. The usual song scheme is blown, it is much tried and fun songs fade into the background. You hear sometimes strings or choir, yet everything fits together. And especially the three remain true to themselves.
"La Bum" is so far the most melancholy and most thoughtful album of Sportfreunde what might not suggesting the title. It is more about feelings, about longing and especially to love, than to its predecessors. Of course, the typical fun songs are, like the current single "Alles Roger!" That when listening very carefully not only is but funny. One could almost say that sports fans have grown up. Nevertheless, the three are somehow remain rascals and so everything is carried by the typical for the sports fans positive mood.
A thoroughly enjoyable album and the DVD is well worth seeing and fun.
