Carofiglio told in first-person form the predominantly inner experiences of his protagonist after his wife has thrown him out of the house and he, in a desolate state out during the preparation and implementation of a process to regain its domestic stability. His client, an African immigrant is acquitted after the protagonist has as far into shape again, that he can reveal the sloppiness of the investigation and denounce public appeal. His client is accused of infanticide probably innocent, but fully understood is not the thing.
The narrative is episodic divided and written in a laconic, easy to understand language with a high dose of dry humor. Ideal for Italian-learners, but you have to "unitalienischen" his, in their absolute pathos-free way right narrative style like. The great success of the book proves that this style has many lovers.
The author reads his text in exact match type: afloat, with dry humor and absolutely free of pathos. The quality of the recording may be a little better than it is, but the price-performance ratio not OK.
