Operational area of the pot is my desk comes in tea. I've also taken to the car twice (for fear of traffic jam due to snow), but this is the exception.
For exterior:
The pot is much bigger than I imagined, it is good 30cm high. But it fits so pure a liter. The pity is that you can not choose the color. However, this is probably a shortcoming of the dealer, not the pot and is therefore not included here.
The pot consists of a container for the drink, a discharge cover (cap) which it closes and an attached cup lid. So all commercially available.
Overall, the pot makes a very valued and solid impression, a fall from 1 meter height on asphalt (with the arisen cup lid), it has survived with a few dents.
The pot is an instruction manual for the warns the jug for cleaning not to dive into the water, but that does not make you, too, so no news. Furthermore, this list indicates that the pot during use with hot drinks you should fill only about 3/4 as it is otherwise not necessarily close. Goofy, because I wanted to like to keep warm 1 liter of tea in it and not 0.75 liters. However, since it is only on my desk and I therefore anyway do not worry about the tightness me I ignore it confidently and live with it quite well.
For closure:
This is how to assume was made of plastic and a little buttons to open the outlet, the one down folds easily after use. In itself not a bad idea, but the button does not always work perfectly. I manage myself by simply already with lifting (otherwise it falls back down sometimes because the mechanism does not lock) the outlet when pressed. With Behelfsaktion he snaps again and I have no problems.
Furthermore comes when pouring a small amount of tea from the slot between mechanism and thread. Since I cant but the tea into a fairly large cup and not in a test tube that is to survive. But unfortunately also means that outside sometimes runs a drop of tea in the pot down. So better wipe before it does again in the handbag.
To "tightness":
I have the jug times tentatively reversed filled with hot tea, it's not a drop escaped. Shaken large I did not, however, so would not bet my hand on it that it remains tight in every situation.
For thermal power:
I always fill the pot with boiling water (yes, with tea bags). The tea is for 3 - 4 hours still too hot to drink, after 20 hours, after all, still warm (once got forgotten to empty the jug in the evening, so I was able to make this experience even).
For cleaning:
Pot and lid are dishwasher safe, but that was expected and is in the nature of things. The discharge cover to clean while I fill hot water with washing up liquid in the cup cover the pot and let the closure lie overnight in simple. The next morning, rinse and ready for the next use. With a soft nylon brush I have not even tried in the small crevices, also this will never come to the inside of the cap.
Conclusion:
A star deduction for the shutter, otherwise a super pot!
