It was definitely the right album at the right time, because Queensryche no longer played "Metal" in the classic sense, but rather rock. The music was very sophisticated and detailed. Coinciding with this disc I got Rush and know my musical horizons expanded in the right direction :-)
"Empire" is one of the few discs that I have in several versions. As a double LP, then. As a normal CD and now the remastered version with bonus tracks
About the songs in detail I will not write a lot, because I most who know the review here read anyway. And who does not know - how can one explain songs ?? Listen and see if it's hot here one grabs ....
"Empire" is certainly a beautiful reminder of days when LPs and CDs have been consulted more intensively and thus were more important (at least to me ...). Is perhaps a thing of age - who knows :-)
From my very clear 5 of 5 stars, although with "hand on heart" or "one and only" pieces are represented, that could have been able to leave. The bonus track "Last time in Paris" is much better - then was published only on a soundtrack.
