A rather unmotivated zapping has led me to MTV and the video for "Last Resort". Admittedly, I was quite impressed by the musical performance, although I for a long time in general, rather little abgewinnen this division. Meanwhile, the CD "Infest" finds its place in my CD shelf next to all the "mature" works, and convince for good reason, because in addition to the successful use of instruments, especially intelligent or - compared to many other bands of this direction - extremely intelligent lyrics that address the grievances of the society. With all the high songs that this band - as I noticed on the edge - to be held, but one must also take into account that "Papa Roach" just be lucky enough to come at the right time with a CD to Mark. Comparatively think one purpose of the "Deftones", which in 1995 delivered with "Adrenaline" is an impressive testimony of their skills, but got no attention. At that time there was just no "grain" and "Limp Bizkit" wave that would have allowed new bands, to play fast in the hearts of fans. (On closer examination, it is advantageous for a band in my opinion but certainly not to be regarded as a fad.) I find it even more regrettable that "Papa Roach" as "hip" and "trendy" apply because all the "hip" and "trendy" kiddies are, at best, a few times "Last Resort" listen and then on the next wave jump up, without ever thinking about what this band will testify with their texts - as long as they pay attention to the lyrics at all. Too Bad. But nonetheless lies with "Infest" before a brilliant work which effortlessly provides so many other business in the shadows.
