Let's See Action 1965-1981

Starting with the 4-CD box set "Thirty Years of Maximum R & B" appeared between 1994 and 1997 most of Who albums first remastered (the mono songs) or in the loving, detailed remixes by Jon Astley and Andy MacPherson (the stereo albums), and "My Generation" contains the most important Who hits from 1965-1981 mainly in those same mono remasters and the new stereo remixes that are already on the slightly longer maturities of some songs (I Can See For Miles, The Seeker , can detect Baba O'Riley and join together). As the booklet reveals one took unfortunately at the request of fans of Magic Bus for the short mono single version (3:15) and not rare, longer (4:28), and the resulting mix had to wait even longer ( eg "Ultimate Collection" or "Then and now").

Since there are other, very similar stocked Who Best of CDs (eg, "Who's Better, Who's Best", "The Singles", "Then and now"), now one of the specialties: the "light" stereo mix of Boris the Spider was remastered from the original quarter-inch tape, of The Seeker (3:11), one of my favorite songs by the Who, there's the slightly longer version (3:23) of "Thirty Years" Baba O'Riley (4: 54) has the extended intro of "Who's Next" remixes, from '95 (5:07), and Will not get fooled again you have specifically created a new remix for this CD, in which Roger Daltrey scream at 7:45 was equalized (on the "Who's Next" remix it was obviously not as far as it drags yet; now he has also been equalized on the remasters).

Unfortunately, I waited in vain for a complementary "My Generation Vol. 2" CD, which then stuff like The Kids Are Alright, I'm free, We're not gonna take it, Summertime Blues, Bargain, Behind Blue Eyes, Relay, Long live rock, Love Reign o'er me, Eminence Front would contain etc.. (The best compilation on the subject can be found since 2002 on "The Ultimate Collection", this time in the remastered original mix.) Of course, for reasons of space missing (76.5 min.) A few more of these hits, but for a single CD is "My Generation", a lace-Who-Sampler in the income years 1965-1981 and the only one based on the mid-nineties Remixes. It is available now in the cheaper "Economy Pack"; but I recommend the standard version with the informative booklet.
