Two different thermometers for the price of one: Dittmann forehead / ear thermometer plus digital Dittmann thermometer ear thermometer baby forehead thermometer (Personal Care)
The ear / forehead thermometer Dittmann, which was identical on several occasions to buy at Aldi's, just electronic waste. Measurement on the left ear of a 12-year-olds: 38.1 degrees. Measurement on the right ear: 38.9 degrees. Measurement on the forehead: 37.4 degrees. Simultaneous measurement with conventional rectal thermometer: 40 degrees. 5 minutes later: Left ear 36.2 degrees, 37.5 degrees right ear. Measurement at the end 38.0 degrees. Rectal measurement with conventional thermometer 40 degrees. New batteries inside. Tested again, getting everything exactly as directed. Results: Again, all completely different. As such a part for test result is "good" come at Stiftung Warentest, is a great mystery. It's been a sometimes over a lifetime decisive (!) Difference whether a 12-year-old or whoever now has 41 degrees fever or only 38 or none at all. It simply can not be right that the thermometer indicates when measuring in minutes completely different values that deviate partly 3-4 degrees Celsius by the rectal, conventional measurement. So you can just roll the dice as well, whether a child has a fever and in what amount. It amazes me that the device has not yet been taken off the market.
