The glass jug is ok - but the lid designed totally stupid. It has attached three retaining lugs to the extent below the cover which then engage behind the neck where the pot expands (to see the photos, below the metal strip). They hardly get off, barely back on it and jammed it constantly. My old pitcher was only down a small circumferential bead that when placed slightly uptight - that went easy to set up and remove the lid and never dropped.
I cut off the three hooks on the cover and back made with a heat gun, a small bead. Now he considers good enough and is easily fitted and remove. It is not ok if the customer has to tinker the product only times itself unusable. That is why only one star. If there was an alternative, I would have returned the pot immediately. But there are probably only this one producer.
