First of all the bad impressions:
Minus:
Installation takes HP-usual "" "extremely" "" long and also takes tidy space. The manual is short .... very .... very scarce and the wireless installation was not an immediate success. In addition, during the installation had to be made two updates. There were quite a lot of times installation window open and it was a little tricky zuzuorden all windows each update installation process. The printer itself requires for his first "oh .... I'm a printer" experience an eternity. What exactly is going on there is unclear. At times, the printer is quiet and does not make a sound, and has no apparent activity. Then again, the background noise is very interesting! One is almost inclined to pack everything again and to complain. After installing WiFi does not work at first. That was during my first device (HP Photosmart 4380) and so has not shaken me much. Only when I'm old-User habit the PC down and then back up drive and the wireless connection again (a total of 3 x) worked the pressure even without USB. Multitasking release, and think outside the box here is not a mistake!
Plus:
The unit comes complete. There is also a USB cable!
The design can be described as chic and the display in conjunction with the touchscreen (touch) is easy to read and logical to use.
The printing on plain paper is "normal"!
Photos I will make only in the rarest of cases with this printer. Too expensive and in times where a poster of a professional photo printer will cost only a few cents, simply unnecessary! A picture was taken out of curiosity. Looks normal .....!
The scans are quite good and average running quickly.
Conclusion: *** (+)
Overall, the printer that is what I hoped for and meets my requirements.
A previous model (4380) sided with years of service in my home computer. Therefore, and for the sake of separate Auswechselmöglichkeit of each ink cartridge, I decided again for wireless and so for this model.
The printing starts and the start of the utility programs from HP is done in the new model much faster.
Who's Afraid of wireless can take advantage of the HP B109a.
The HP-typical printer installation is quite annoying, requires patience and self-initiative. 3 stars for the overall impression are slightly worse rated than necessary, but the Geräschkulisse and the installation procedure have wiped out my idea for a fourth star.
Is everything installed and set times, then wireless is a very good alternative to cable and it preserves the boldness of the printer (+).
In view of the low price of the printer for non-noise sensitive user is recommended.
