We bought the part with a USB rechargeable battery, on a camping holiday. The "gooseneck" can bend any prima, the plug is securely in USB port on the battery and the light-harvesting power is impeccable. The only drawback there is no on / off switch. So .... plug in, plug out. On a notebook / PC, however, this should also be the same.
