the name of the organization Amnesty International will be officially launched and Mr. Zimmerman brings as Bob Dylan released his first album with Columbia Records.
2012:
50 years on Amnesty International celebrates its milestone birthday with this 4 CDs comprehensive sampler, interpret the countless musicians a total of 72 songs of Bob Dylan. Dylan, who famously with his lyrics often occurred in his early years for the weak and oppressed, is represented with the original version of Chimes Of Freedom. All other versions are new. Well, is relatively new, 2010, you started to prepare this project. Bob Dylan has given for this purpose freely around 400 of his songs and the artists represented here along with admissions staff worked without a salary.
I'm just thrilled by this sampler. I can not say otherwise.
All posts are great in their own way. . Even if, for example, The Avett Brothers a bizarre experiment dare:
You have added new vocal and instrumental tracks on the 69er duet Cash / Dylan (One Too Many Mornings), and thus a "duet" Johnny Cash feat. The Avett Brothers made it.
Many famous musicians are of course here, many who can be expected on such a sampler also. Either because they are close to AI or even Bob Dylan and his work. Or both ... enumerate all does not go.
Furthermore, many old veterans are represented and some stars of the pop scene with whom one might have expected not immediately. And that can surprise quite like Myley Cyrus with her version of You Make Me Lonesome When You Go, Adele with an almost heartbreaking live version of Make You Feel My Love or Natasha Bedingfield's version of Ring Them Bells. Although the can with Sufjan Stevens interpretation not keep up, but is very well done anyway.
Many with us fairly unknown artists of indie and alternative scene are also included, as well as, of course, a lot of artists eg. From Africa, the Middle East and Asia, whose work in Western Europe is likely to be largely unknown. As you can search the Internet to death to find all the people who you do not know, to check to see what the gentlemen usually do.
It really goes too far at this point to mention all the highlights, because there are just too many. Not only the collection of artists is very interesting here, the song selection has a few surprises. Some contributions remain close to the original, while others go into their interpretation in a completely different direction and still others may seem a bit too routine. The mixture makes the difference.
This sampler is a real highlight.
