Francis Cabrel made us wait many years between each album but it is every time a pleasure to discover new songs. By inserting the CD that I had pre-ordered and hearing the first chords, I had the feeling of coming home. In Extremis is somehow an inventory of passing time, a balance album at once bitter, melancholic and tender. He speaks of old age, life follows its course, children who grow up and leave, disillusionment of life. He denounced the cynicism and falsehood of men but casts hope and shows once again that love is essential. EVERY LOVE THAT WE WILL DO is a marvel. The text has everything a beautifully written and deeply moving poetry. FREE TOURS are an ode to the love of a father for his daughters and parents affect the heart. I am always so fascinated by the texts of Cabrel. I often feel like reading poetry when I read his texts. Highly tour!
