In 2012, "Doug Seegers" was a homeless eking out a living in Nashville. He was songwriter playing the guitar in the streets and trying to make themselves known with a title "Going Down To The River" on his Youtube account. But the song was not getting good reviews. It was truly discovered March 5, 2014 by "Jill Johnson" a Swede who turned his team a series of 6 episodes entitled "Jills veranda." The little band of "Jill Johnson" with 6 Swedish artists, was in search of talent when she discovered "Doug" sitting on a bench in a Nashville park. Minutes before "Doug" was gone to buy food from a street vendor ... one of his friends who was there, told the team, it is essential that you listen to this guy, he has a wonderful way for Country . "Johnson" waited "Doug" and listened "Going Down To The River." She was so excited, they went together to record the song in the old studio "Johnny Cash" in Nashville.
Just after, "Doug Seegers" immediately gained popularity. His Facebook account was flooded with new fans Swedes and the song "Going Down To The River" became number 1 on iTunes Charts Swedish for 12 consecutive days, well ahead of former Swedish artists.
Finally "Doug Seegers" signed a contract with Lionheart Music Group, resulting in the release of his first album titled "Going Down To The River" May 28, 2014. The record became immediately "gold record". "Seegers" was hired for a tour in the summer of 2014 70 concerts in Sweden, he is notably appeared in a festival in Stockholm.
Like what talent without some luck, can not go very far ... Anyway I think it's a beautiful story. Good luck "Doug", I love your music!
