(Sometimes called Lil Wheezy) Dwayne Carter better known as Lil Wayne has probably surpassed with his fourth solo album itself. After his strong debut, "Tha Block Is Hot" in 1999 the equally brilliant successor "Light Out" and the quite acceptable but overall it was rather disappointing "500 Degreez" is "The Carter" another firecracker album of the rapper from New Orleans. The actual first single from the album was, it appeared already in December 2003, but when the album was postponed until June in mid-February it was decided to release a new single called "Bring it back" to throw "Get Something" on the market and " Get Something "so to speak, as a promo single use which is then finally not be found on the album. In addition to the previously mentioned single from the album has yet fächernde width of songs. Already the intro "Walk In" is a class of its own and actually already half a real song. Furthermore, there are still some good humor songs that are awesome for the summer as "This is the Carter," "snitch" or "Hoes", one of the most soulful Lil Wayne songs ever called "I Miss My dawgz" where it over time raps with BG, Turk and Juve than Hot Boys, slightly harder songs like "BM JR" or "Tha Heat"; is highlighted in the Beat with pistol shots, light blues influences in the song "Earthquake" or simply more Hammer songs like "Go DJ", "We do not" or "Is not that a bitch". The whole CD has simply become incredibly awesome, I really would not have expected from Lil Wayne after as already mentioned somewhat disappointing "500 Degreez". Lil Wayne has on this album be Rap / flow again improved somewhat in contrast to its predecessor, but at such a golden age as of 1998 to Juve's song "Back That Azz Up" where he rapped really rap Technically everything in land is Wheezy probably approach never. Guests there are not very many on the album. In addition to Cash Money Members Baby, Mannie Fresh and Jazze Pha (but not named as a feature is clearly the hook on "Earthquake" sings) is only represented Reel on two tracks. 90% of the CD CMR master producer Mannie Fresh was produced, but also people like Jazze Pha, The Architects and Raj Smoove had 3-4 songs with their fingers in the game. The album is definitely worth every euro and I really recommend it to anyone the wheel at least once a trial to hear. On the future of Cash Money you may be very excited now times, especially after Juvenile, who returned in late summer of 2003 to CMR and some fresh air with pure brought now finally CMR has left and has signed a contract with Atlantic Records. But I think to z. B. a Mannie Fresh solo album in the near future no one would have anything ;-) PeAcE
