This method was not at all motivated my children (which are nevertheless applied and studious at school) because it contains too many painful exercises and not enough known nor pleasant music. Today's children often want to play a lot more motivating music (known classical music, soundtracks or video games, songs ...) There are too many 4 hands, heavy and weary, and too much music written with 2 staves in treble clef, or both laid clef, so that reading notes is shifted each time and my children no longer understand anything. In this method, my kids loved that music (page 19), and everything seemed corny and their depressing. They were very disappointed and wanted to stop the piano, but fortunately they changed teacher and method, and everything is better!
