I had to be able to experience the happiness of the Foreigner concert of their acoustic tour in 2014. A truly unique experience for a rock fan like me. The well-known tracks from the 80s sound acoustically even better than with all the embellishments Pipapo around it. Gutted the essentials, offered only with guitar, mandolin, saxophone and a few percussion instruments, the classics like "Jule Box Hero", "Cold as Ice" etc. sound much skin near, direct, crisp - honest, handmade rock music at its best and a pleasure to listen. When adding "I want to know what love is" still came a native of the venue (!) Mixed choir on the stage and the whole hall sang enthusiastically. Thrilled the right word, because Foreigner is live and acoustic exudes a spirit that drags a deep down and reached. The CD takes up the mood of the acoustic concert well on - alone on the very pushy dynamics, had the game of the band, the bell-like guitar sounds with great pickings and the great, totally distinctive vocals of lead singer come on the album, unfortunately not nearly as impressively over how "been there". The sound seems rather flat. But well, the CD is always still, the selection is virtually identical to the evening program overall and for all the fans really good rock music an unconditional purchase tip.
