Logitech Webcam C500 - Camera top, Software annoying, bugged and problematic

Well ... we have already done in 2014 and this camera still reliable service!

The instrument itself is so well for what's supposed to do, ideally suited, a real "workhorse" just when economically installed without a lot of bells - and whistles and ideally compatible with all previous Microsoft operating systems from Windows XP. Your Logitech software necessary for it from the outset, however, made certain problems.

If you only use the old driver of the enclosed CD, all goes well. Install only the absolutely most necessary. Cute morphing effects and funny animations are quite cute, but also often cause crashes.

The update function should absolutely be disabled. Infamous "Windows Blue Screen" (error message screen directly after login) again become a frequent guest on my computers - since there are current drivers and software for it, even the famous was. So it is not on the computer. Apparently the software is bugged, or the newer drivers get along less well with MS Windows as the old CD? When I also times tried the gadgets, there was just so massive problems.

Otherwise, I can thoroughly recommend for anyone who is looking to radiate only slightly this webcam. The picture quality is good, the sound is transmitted clearly and noise-free. Background noise can be suppressed. The image is set mirrored be emitted. Man can either in 16: 3 format Send: 9 Widescreen or 4. The Logitech RightLight function is recommended less, the image is then meisst flickering and makes trouble. The facial recognition is such a thing, best to leave the way. Also for recording, so only as a pure digital camera (Photos) I could do very good experience with this webcam here already. The level is perfectly adequate for fast-recorded videos and image snapshots. As I said, recommended.
