Bought 14.05.2010: (unfortunately not directly from Amazon)
-> As of mid-2011:
I have used them mainly as a data grave (2.Platte), thus are my frequent performance issues noticed after about a year. The start-up time due to the power saving mode of the hard disk is now stopped 13! Seconds. The tugs especially when document, photo or video editing on the nerves when with every automatic save the program hangs for 13sekunden!
Would that my system disk, they would long since kicked out, but I have simply no time to nearly 1TB of data back up search, especially since no alternative was location!
-> As of mid-2012:
Meanwhile, I have massive access problems with the disk. At times she herself was detected in BIOS let alone the Win 7 workstation. I was afraid my entire data is lost (no backup - how stupid) ... but the change of the SATA II connector on the board needed remedy .... for now. After only two weeks, the problem occurred again and caused system crashes and data corruption. Fortunately I have now secured my data externally. Unfortunately, I find the receipts no longer :( ..... but a complete formatting for the time being managed again Remedy.
-> As of early 2013:
I have now bought a Seagate Barracuda 1TB as a system disk and mirrored all data. In addition, I have your receipt FOUND (3 years warranty)! Meanwhile, the drive writes only with 40MB / s of former 90MB / s, sad!
After the write noise of Western Digital "Ökoplatte" which actually were so quiet and economical to, despite decoupling even be heard in the next room and the board at least once a day bogged down (scratch with loud) and reboot the system enforces, I've had enough ,
This plate I entrust no more data!
-> Conclusion:
If I had earlier found the sales slip again, the plate would long since wandered back. I will not buy any more Ökoplatten!
And I've learned from my mistakes -> the new Seagate I bought from Amazon so that I can turn to someone in trouble!
-> Recommended:
No! ... I can dissuade you from this board only. Let's see how the exchange model, but I have. To the problems actually do not feel like Current panels of WD I can not judge, but I recommend you buy a Seagate. My system disk (Seagate 250Gb) has held with no problems 7.5 years!
